Several German media outlets have reported that some Pakistani families have been transferred to Germany by taking advantage of the identity of Afghans and the “Afghan Refugee Acceptance Program.”
The German magazine Cicero reported on Thursday that the Foreign Ministry might have secretly brought Pakistani agents to Germany through the Afghan refugee acceptance program. The German embassy in Islamabad had warned the Foreign Ministry about the identity of a seven-member family claiming to be Afghan.
However, Germany’s Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock dismissed the report, stating that all refugees are transferred after thorough security investigations.
