In a tragic event, three workers lost their lives due to a landslide at a gold mine in the Warduj district of Badakhshan.
The workers were trapped under debris while working on an earth mound containing gold. This incident occurred in the villages of Kham-Bahar and Do-Dargi after noon on Thursday.
Unsafe mining practices and disregard for safety standards are cited as primary causes of such incidents. Earlier this year, two other workers also died in a similar accident in the Raghistan district.
