After the iOS 18 update, iPhone users are encouraged to change five key settings to enhance their experience. These adjustments can extend battery life, improve messaging, and enhance the interface’s appearance.

1. Optimized Battery Charging: Set custom charging limits like 85% or 95% by going to Settings > Battery > Charging and toggling this feature.

2. Turn on RCS Messaging: Send high-quality images and videos to Android users with RCS Messaging. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS Messaging.

3. Change Lock Screen Shortcuts: Replace the flashlight and camera shortcuts with more practical options like music or alarm. Press and hold the Lock Screen and select ‘Customise’.

4. Turn off Shared with You: If this feature feels intrusive, disable it in Settings > Apps > Messages under “Shared with You.”

5. Hide App Labels: For a cleaner Home Screen, hide app labels by pressing and holding the Home Screen, clicking ‘Customize,’ and selecting ‘Large’.
