President Joe Biden pressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a ceasefire in Gaza during their meeting at the White House on Thursday.

Netanyahu expressed gratitude for the U.S.‘s 50 years of support. This meeting marks their second face-to-face encounter since Hamas’s deadly attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Biden had earlier introduced a three-stage plan to halt the Gaza conflict.

Netanyahu is also set to meet with Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday.
