Local traders and residents in Chaman, \u0628\u0644\u0648\u0686\u0633\u062a\u0627\u0646, have resumed their sit-in protest against the prolonged closure of the Chaman\u2013Spin Boldak crossing and the disruption of trade activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Protest spokesperson Sadiq Khan Achakzai said the sit-in had been temporarily paused during Ramadan but has now restarted. He noted that the protest has been ongoing for over two and a half years, with demands based on Pakistan\u2019s legal framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, the continued closure has left around 100,000 families without income. Previously, between 20,000 to 30,000 people crossed daily using local identification documents, but now even those with passports and visas are reportedly denied passage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Protesters are demanding the restoration of cross-border movement based on local IDs, as was previously allowed. They also criticized Pakistan\u2019s policies toward Afghan migrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
